Is being called sweet,cute a good thing?

So yesterday i had a family get together and got three compliments and i'm actually wondering whether thy were 'good' compliments. First off a lady came in and saw me and said hello gorgeous i turnt around smiled nervously and i guess quite child like and walked away when i was walking away i heard her say she's so cute, she's so cute. (she literally kept repeating it as i was going). Later in the day another lady came to me and smiled and said 'you look soo sweet' with a huge grin. What does calling someone cute, sweet actually indicate? Does that mean i'm 'pretty' or just 'adorable' like a puppy?
