Is it a normal expectation to discuss your overall health during a physical with the doctor?

When I called to set up an annual physical, I mentioned I was having an ailment. They said I could come in either for the ailment or the physical. I've always discussed whatever health issues I was having with prior doctors. It seems like this place is all about the money. Is it just me, or is it a normal expectation to discuss your overall health during a physical?
