Midnight Club:LA career stuck?

Ive got 98% on Midnight Club:LA for Xbox 360, ive alredy done the garage partner mission and city, exotic, luxury and bike champ. however now the only races in my log are the tournaments and wager races, but when i do those they just reappear in my log. ive also alredy won loads of races with tuners and muscle cars but the champs still havnt called me. is my career just stuck or is ther sumthin i shud do?
