The chemistry of styrofoam cup erosion . . .?

. . . If you boiled water and poured it into a standard white styrofoam coffee cup; and then added a tea bag (stirring); and then added a lemon wedge (stirring); you will notice that the cup starts to erode in a few minutes. What is happening? I do not recommend drinking it.
