Anyone know this singer?

I know it's a longshot but she was a younger female singer a few years ago. I can't even remember the songs she sang but it irritating me so I figured I'd ask even though it is a longshot. For some reason I think her name began with an N and she had 1 or 2 hit songs that came out around Jojo's song 'leave get out'. She had dark skin and I think one of her music videos took place with her singing in a school. Such a long shot but this is bugging me xD
