Can a website create a profile for you without your knowledge?
Hi, I need to know if this it's possible that an affiliate site would register me (sometime after registering with the original site) and send me out a confirmation email with a random username...and my hotmail pword. This website also has some of my details on the profile, including my age and height. I am sure however that I did not create this profile. It has no got me in to some trouble, and seeing how comparing the stories of "I created it and I'm lying" next to "A random website sent me out a confirmation email with a pword I commonly used, as well as some of my details" , the latter doesn’t exactly sound like the most logical. Please help me, I need to know this is possible, I need proof. I sent a message to the webmaster asking if the IP address was different when I apparently registered as to what it is now, they said it was the same. They were very vague about it. I reset my box in between that time though so I thought it would have reset anyway. Can someone help?
